How Airbnb Co-Hosting Works in Pakistan
Co-hosting is the arrangement where an owner keeps the property and the listing, and a hosting partner runs the day-to-day operation. It is the most common way owners in Lahore and Islamabad move from occasional renting to a properly operated short-term rental.
What a co-host actually does
A co-host takes over the operating work: preparing and photographing the property, writing and maintaining the listing, setting nightly rates, answering enquiries, screening and communicating with guests, coordinating cleaning and linen, handling maintenance, and managing reviews.
The owner keeps ownership and final say on rules, pricing floors and calendar blocks for personal use.

How the split usually works
Most co-hosting arrangements are a share of booking revenue rather than a fixed fee, which keeps both sides pointed at the same outcome. Cleaning and consumables are typically billed separately or covered by the guest fee.
Terms should be written down: what is included, how payouts flow, notice periods, and who approves spending above a threshold.
What to ask before appointing a co-host
Ask who physically handles turnovers, how fast guest messages are answered, how pricing decisions are made, and whether you can see the calendar and performance yourself.
